From humble beginnings in 1980, 40 years on Process Control is now an internationally recognised business with multiple locations across the UK and Europe.
Barry and Pat Jackson founded PCE in a garage in Sedgefield, where they noticed a gap in the market and began to sell instrumentation products to local customers. The business started to grow and the pair took the decision to move to an official sales and stocking space and make their first hire in 1981.
3 expanding office moves later, more than 100 hires, and a fast forward of 40 years, Process Control Equipment now boasts 10 sales and stocking locations across the UK and Europe with over £10 million of on-hand stock from reputable manufacturers.
What started as an instrumentation business has now progressed into an industry specialist supplying valves, instrumentation, and automation packages to some of the biggest players in the petrochemical, oil and gas, power, pharmaceutical, food, and beverage industries.
The business has been under new management since 2015 but continued its title of a family-owned business when Richard Jackson took the role of Managing Director, the son of Barry and Pat.
The business has continued to go from strength to strength and with more plans for the near future, it will be great to see what Process Control Equipment Ltd. can achieve in the next 40 years.
Process Control Equipment appeared in the Valve World magazine as a cover story to mark their 40th birthday, read the full article here PCE-202008.pdf (valve-world.net)
